7.18.25 - Meet Flora Balme — Policy, Purpose, and a Healthy Distrust of Turtles
07.18.2025
Some people intern at banks to fill a résumé. Flora Balme is not one of those people.
A rising senior at the University of Denver, Flora is diving into her summer with TASI Bank with a Public Policy major (specializing in Economics and Law), a Business Administration minor, and an appetite for systems that actually work for real people. Her passion? Ethical finance, community development, and reimagining what it means to put people first in a world built for profits.
So yes — we’re lucky to have her.
Before joining us, Flora sharpened her fundraising and research skills at The Morgan Adams Foundation and gained early financial field experience with WomenSave, where she learned the kind of practical, human-focused operations that TASI Bank lives for. Her experience aligns perfectly with our mission: banking built for people, not spreadsheets.
When she’s not supporting our team, you might catch her strolling through Golden Gate Park, hunting down the city’s best Vietnamese food, or soundtracking her week with Vampire Weekend. (But do not offer her an avocado, orange, or turtle-themed souvenir. Consider yourself warned.)
This summer, Flora is one of our featured Summer Fridays interns — a spotlight series we run each week to showcase the future leaders who are helping us shape the future of banking.
Flora, we’re stoked to have you on board.
Let’s make waves.
