7.25.25 - Meet Kaia Weirlangt — Analyst, Optimizer, and Advocate for the Details

07.25.2025

At TASI Bank, we love a good spreadsheet — but we love the people behind them even more. Enter Kaia Weirlangt, our Summer Fridays intern who blends analytical skill with human insight, and who’s made a habit of turning messy processes into streamlined systems.

Kaia joins us from the University of Michigan, where she’s studying the intersection of operations, finance, and equity. Last summer, she interned at the university’s Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (ODEI), serving as a Financial and HR Intern. Her role? Support a dynamic team by reviewing financial activity reports, organizing payroll and HR data, and — most impressively — building more efficient Excel-based systems that saved time, minimized headaches, and made life easier for everyone in the office. (Until, of course, Excel decided to crash without saving her work — a trauma she’s still recovering from.)

But Kaia isn’t just about numbers. She’s about structure, order, and impact. She cares about building systems that work well — and more importantly, work for people. That’s why she fits so naturally into the TASI Bank ecosystem, where we pride ourselves on balancing precision with purpose.

Outside of the office, Kaia finds peace in movement and mindfulness — she’s an avid hiker, swimmer, and yoga fan. She’s also a bit of a kitchen adventurer, experimenting with new recipes (some more edible than others) and making time for the people who matter most: her friends and family.

Her dislikes? Being late (even by a minute), soggy cereal, and drivers who refuse to use turn signals. In other words, she’s a firm believer in structure, consideration, and showing up on time — traits we can absolutely get behind.

This summer, Kaia joins Flora and Eileen as part of our Summer Fridays internship program — a weekly spotlight on the future leaders helping TASI Bank push boundaries and serve communities with heart.

Kaia, we’re glad you’re here. Thanks for making the systems better — and the work smarter.
